ACE at UOIT using CircuitMeter’s Energy Monitoring Technology

Partnering to assist facilities to monitor and manage energy costs.

The Automotive Centre of Excellence (ACE) located at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) is using CircuitMeter’s real time energy monitoring tool to manage the energy use in their testing and research facility. With CircuitMeter, it is possible to measure not only energy consumption (kWh used) right down to the individual piece of equipment, such as ACE’s wind turbine, but also to analyze power quality on a granular level which can help ACE improve variables such as power factor and reduce charges on their monthly electricity bills. Managing energy costs in real time at a granular level allows ACE to determine exact energy use for the electrical loads used to run specific tests.
