CircuitMeter: Providing Thought Leadership in Silicon Valley

Emerging Trends in Energy Management

CircuitMeter Inc. President & CEO, Paul Mertes will be making a presentation at Plug and Play in Sunnyvale, CA on May 7th on “Emerging Trends in Energy Management and the Use and Value of real-time, circuit level Energy Data” followed by a question and answer session.

The presentation will explain how advances in submetering technology have made the collection and analysis of granular energy use data economic, helping building and industrial facility operators use energy more efficiently while optimizing equipment life cycle costs and lowering the carbon footprint. The value and benefits of these emerging technologies and management practices will be discussed, including a vision of how the energy management services industry is poised to evolve and grow.

By discussing emerging industry best practices and the use of advanced technologies which combine real time communications with cloud based, big data energy analytics, Mr. Mertes will be answering questions such as:

  1. What are Smart Buildings and Net Zero developments?
  2. How does energy management fit into Operations Best Practices in industrial facilities?
  3. How should portfolio managers approach next generation energy management and what type of Returns on Investment are possible?

Held monthly, the Silicon Valley Energy & Sustainability Meetup is a platform bringing together professionals in the clean technology and sustainability space to discuss the industry’s newest trends, best practices and latest developments.

Announced last month, Plug and Play, a global innovation platform headquartered in Silicon Valley, accepted 156 companies into its Summer 2018 program which includes growth stage and industry leading corporations and venture capitalists. This represents an acceptance rate of less than 2%. Of this batch of companies, CircuitMeter was selected into the Energy & Sustainability program which is designed to bring innovation to the energy sector and includes prominent corporate partners such as Honeywell, Maersk, PG&E, Siemens, and others.
